WINDOW PANES
HOW TO PLAY
You are a frost sprite. Each pane is a cold window with candle wicks. Frost that touches a wick lights it. Light every wick before dawn.
Plan. Tap clear glass to place a frost seed (fogged glass takes no seeds). Each pane allows only a few.
Grow. Each seed bursts into six arms. Arms split at 60 degrees as they grow and stop when they run out of cold, meet other frost or reach warmth. Every grow is identical for the same seeds.
Glass. Heaters and warm breath melt young frost (breath fades after a moment); frost veers away from tepid glass. Cold drafts bend branches their way and carry them for free. Salt ends a branch. Prism shards reflect it. Water drops freeze into new seeds. Cracks cannot be crossed. The sunrise sweeps in and melts everything behind it.
Score. Frost cost = 20 per seed + 1 per tick until the last wick lights. Lower is better: bronze for lighting the pane, silver and gold for lean, quick blooms. Your best bloom is kept as a ghost you can replay.
