The Boardwalk
How to play
Each boardwalk shows a melody strip at the top: the notes the breeze should play, and on which beat.
Pick a chime below and tap a hook to hang it. Longer tubes sound lower. Tap a hung chime again with the same chime picked to change its string.
A gust strikes the first chime on the windward side. A ringing chime swings into the next chime along: Short string swings in 1 beat and reaches 1 space, Mid 1.5 beats and 2 spaces, Long 2 beats and 3 spaces.
Gust strength (the number on each wind arrow) is how many strikes its chain can make. Swings never cross a post.
Damper: the chime rings once, then swings silently. Arm: bounces the strike back. Pulley: carries the strike across a post between its rope hooks.
Gulls block a chime while they sit on its hook. The tide wets low hooks, which then only thud.
Press Wind to play. Note heads light up gold when they land, red when they miss. Fewer pieces and tighter timing earn better medals.
